Delivery fees for Melbourne, Victoria and Interstate
Many of the heavy and bulky items we produce are assembled onsite. Some can be sold as kits and others not. If in doubt, please ask.
Standard Delivery Fees (unless stipulated otherwise or volume orders).
Melbourne metropolitan area as defined by us is a generous 20Km from the CBD. There is a flat delivery rate of $250 for this area.
Between a 20Km and 100km radius it is $250 plus an extra $2.00 /km over the 20km radius.
Victorian areas over 100km away will be quoted separately. Simply call us to discuss this.
Interstate deliveries are to be organised by the client. We will work in with any freight company requirements for pickup.
Please use Google maps to verify the distance from Melbourne to your area . Look up your suburb on Google maps and select ‘Get Directions’ to Melbourne Victoria. Use the Kms to work out the delivery rates.

Eg. Geelong is 73 km from Melbourne CBD therefore delivery charges to Geelong are
$250 + (53km x $2.00) => $356
Most of our furniture is over 50Kgs - some is well over one ton. In many instances we assemble on site. Pre-assembled furniture is winched off the trailer and requires clear access around the drop off point. Furniture that is assembled on site still requires clear access to the work area.
Interstate deliveries:
Most of our furniture is extremely heavy and/or bulky. A small selection of items can be flat packed but these are not your regular IKEA kits to assemble !! We can obtain a quote for smaller items or furniture that can be broken down into individual parts and can be shipped by couriers.
For larger items that require semi trailer haulage or furniture removalists, often the long distance costs can be significant and make small purchases unviable. These transport costs normally start at approx $500. Use of a crane truck, forklift or use of hydraulic tailgates may be necessary.
We can give you an estimate but the final transport costs may vary. We can also advise if the items you are can be shipped in parts and assembled by a DIY handyman.
There are several interstate furniture movers that offer a door to door service. These can be found on the web. The client needs to find the most competitive provider to their location and pay for that service.
Try www.interstate.com.au 1800 800 200 or www.transdirect.com.au 1300 668 229 for a starting point. We can give you approximate weights and item sizes that will be needed in the quotation process.
As a hint : Look for your transport providers in your local area that provide some form of interstate service. They often come back empty from interstate and would love to backload where possible as reasonable rates.
We would normally ask the client must arrange Interstate transport and we will work in with any transport company ! Please call us beforehand to determine weights, sizes and specifics that may need to be considered before booking a courier.
