A simple school bench is a solid robust piece of furniture that student walk, sit and jump on at every chance. That's why we ensure they are fixed together in a way that they will withstand all types of activities.

All our school bench styles are all bolted together with quality galvanised hardware to ensure they stay in shape. The simple school bench above is lightly sanded to remove all splinters and sharp edges. More often than not they need to be anchored to stop them toppling over.

These benches can be made from a variety of 'A' grade recycled railway sleepers or new red gum, ironbark, greygum or treated pine sleepers. The choice is really up to the school.

School benches can also be dressed and oiled to give them a smooth finish. This will bring out the natural timber characteristics and make them look more attractive. For an additional cost we can bolt benches onto concrete or anchor them into the soil to prevent people moving them.

We also produce a range of free standing A Frame hall benches that are less bulky and easier to move.

Put a few school benches together on the lawns and let the children play all over them. The standard seat height is 450mm but if made lower they are unlikely to topple. These are great pieces of furniture and even cheaper on volume.
